Rear pannier with lid

From 2009 on, the panniers are offered with improved shape and new design which resembles that of handlebar bag Ultimate5 and front panniers Sport-Packer. Base feet protect the panniers bottom and keep it clean.

The classical lid closure allows fast access to the waterproof bag’s interior. An internal double drawstring snow flap provides additional protection against dust, humidity and snow. A fixed inner pocket with main compartment and zippered mesh pocket helps organising items inside the bag.
The patented ORTLIEB QL1 system allows fast and easy single-handed mounting and removal of the panniers, and is suitable for racks with a tube diameters up to 16 mm (hook inserts for diameters of 8 and 11 mm are included).
Once the panniers are hooked into the rack, the mounting components close automatically. For taking off the rack you simply lift the handle. It’s as easy as that!
The elliptical hook rail on the lower rear side of the pannier serves for additional fixation and prevents the bag from moving around. Thanks to the rotating QL2 hook the mounting system is compatible with almost any bike rack.

The Bike-Packer Classic can be carried comfortably with an included shoulder strap (also new in 2009). The ORTLIEB harness system converts the Bike-Packer Classic into a daypack (optional accessory).
